Hello Again Friends!
We sure have missed you and we thank you for waiting for us! We have our guidelines from the government for reopening and our state regulatory DORA, we have read through them with a fine tooth comb (pardon the pun), and we are ready to share what a hair service appointment with Voodoo Hair Lounge will look like for the near future! It will be a little different than in the past so we wanted to paint a picture for you.
New Capacity Rules
The number of people we can have in our space is limited, so we have added hours to our schedule and we have incorporated split shifts. That being said, your stylists schedule has probably changed. New availability is listed on our booking link on our website. We are not double booking at this time. Each stylist will only be able to serve one client at a time. This will give our staff extra time to clean and sanitize their stations, tools, and equipment. With this new change, you may find it more difficult to get in to see your stylist. We ask for your understanding and patience and please know that we want to take care of all of you and we are doing our very best to get everyone on the schedule!
Only 1 Person Per Visit
You will not be able to bring anyone with you to your appointment who is not receiving a service, this includes children. Please come alone for your appointment, as we are only allowed a certain number of people inside of the salon at a time and we will be watching our count closely. Guests having services must be old enough to be in the salon alone, without a parent. As a lot of you know, Voodoo LOVES dogs, but at this time we have a “pause on paws”. Only service animals are allowed at this time. Special arrangements for those in our community who are more at risk can be made. Please reach out to us!
Online Booking System
Speaking of booking, we are making a BIG push toward online booking. We have a new, easy to use program that we would love you to try. We want to keep the phones open for those guests arriving for appointments. It will also keep our hold times down. Of course, we will always be available for your questions and any booking help you need if online booking isn’t an option for you or you have special appointment requests!
Virtual Hugs and Cashless Payments
We will also be incorporating touchless greetings and check out. We are dying for hugs and handshakes but we have to save them up for later. We will be using credit cards on file as much as possible or the tap option on your card for payment. We will not be accepting cash as payment. We have the ability to check you out at the chair where your service is being performed and prepare any products you want to take home with you. Gone are the days of waiting in line to check out at the front desk!
Below you will find a walk through of what an appointment will look like. We are hoping to make this new process easy and streamlined for our clients. Please read through the details.
When you arrive at the salon, please give us a call. At that time we will let you know if your stylist is ready to see you. If not we will call you when they are ready, we ask that you wait in your car until that time.
We have implemented many new steps to our daily routine. It would greatly help the flow of our day if you would be available 5-10 minutes before your appointment time to help keep us on schedule. One of our staff members will greet you at the door to take your temperature. You will be required to wear an around the ear mask in order to enter the building. If you do not have a mask they will be available for purchase. We will also be taking the temperatures of our staff upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature of 100 or above will be asked to reschedule. Our staff will also be sent home and not be able to return to work until 72 hours fever free. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause. Once inside, you will be asked to immediately wash your hands before making your way to the chair. We have always used freshly laundered gowns for each client, and we will continue to do so.
No Food or Drinks inside the Salon
There are also a few amenities that we will not be able to provide for our guests at this time. We will not be serving drinks or snacks and we ask that you not bring any food or drinks in with you. You are not able to remove your mask while inside of the salon. For now, gone are the days of multitasking laptops and lunch at the salon. We will ask that you limit what you bring inside to 1 small personal item. We will also ask that you stay in the chair where your service is being performed. There will not be a color processing area at this time. Our goal is to limit the amount of areas that we need to sanitize and clean.
We know this is a lot of details and moving parts, and while we don’t intend to overwhelm you, we are hoping to convey the great lengths that we have gone to protect your health while you are in our space. Voodoo cares. We care about our team's health and we care about you and your health! We have made many preparations for reopening. We have all the proper tools and have exceeded the guideline requirements with social distancing in the salon. More than anything, we are ready to reconnect with all of you again! While it may not be business as usual, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible in our space. We want to be clear that we are taking EVERY precaution to protect your health while you are with us. Thank you for choosing Voodoo Hair Lounge. We look forward to serving you!
