Saturday, April 26th marked the third annual Wig Out extravaganza. The good people came from far and wide to bring their wig flare, rock and roll hearts, and wild styles to Voodoo Hair Lounge in support of “Out Boulder” (Boulder’s 501c3, LGBT organization.) Rock stars from across the decades made appearances to party down for a good cause. A very special THANK YOU goes out to all of our partners in the event including, Avery Brewing, Moth Poetic Circus, Dj Davi D, Tony Zellaha, McDevitt Taco Co, Spirit Hound Distillery, the Tah Tah’s, and Point Your Damn Toes dance company. We couldn’t possibly dream to Wig Out without their help!!!
The night began deep in the heart of the 1970’s while Dj Davi D spun every funky jam under the sun. Point Your Damn Toes got down with the sickness and hustled their soul train across the dance floor as the crowd slowly eased into the flow of things. Time marched on through the 1980’s with the Tah Tah’s playing some killer 80’s covers while Moth Poetic’s finest worked the pole (yes, that kind of pole) and she totally, freaking killed it. The evening launched into the future with Tony Z spinning Bowie, and Moth Poetic’s Deena Markum impressing everyone with her aerial performance. It truly is difficult to describe this incredible event well enough to relay its awesomeness. We hate to say “you had to be there” but facts are facts. Take note and make sure you don’t miss our next event!
